Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR)

  • SRHR is an umbrella for various issues that affect men and women alike. It represents four separate areas: sexual health, sexual rights, reproductive health, and reproductive rights.
  • AWET  targeted adolescents boys & girls (15-19), young women and men (15-24) so that they access SRH services

Activities implemented: 

  1. Training of Behavior Change Facilitators on SRHR and referral pathways
  2. Engagement meetings with religious, traditional and community leaders on SRHR 
  3. Engagement and training with most vulnerable girls and young women to produce sanitary wear (reusable pads) for ages 15-24 to address period poverty, and supporting their income generating needs
