Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR)
- SRHR is an umbrella for various issues that affect men and women alike. It represents four separate areas: sexual health, sexual rights, reproductive health, and reproductive rights.
- AWET targeted adolescents boys & girls (15-19), young women and men (15-24) so that they access SRH services
Activities implemented:
- Training of Behavior Change Facilitators on SRHR and referral pathways
- Engagement meetings with religious, traditional and community leaders on SRHR
- Engagement and training with most vulnerable girls and young women to produce sanitary wear (reusable pads) for ages 15-24 to address period poverty, and supporting their income generating needs
Conducting awareness campaigns educating people on SRHR
