Zero tolerance to Gender-Based Violence.
1 in 3 women still experiences physical or sexual violence. Zimbabwean women have experienced some form of violence (psychological, emotional, economic, physical or sexual), perpetrated by an intimate partner with 26% cases of violence being recorded during 2011-2012. It was also noted that 13% of men in the country admit to perpetrating some form of violence against their intimate partners during the period of 2011-2012. Research has also pointed out that 69% of women have experienced violence while 41% of men admitted to be perpetrators of intimate partner violence (IPV) in their lifetime.
