Maternal Health

Maternal Health

Awet intends to
  • Create awereness to encourage the uptake of Antenatal Care services and increased acceptability of morden MNCH interventions ,educational oppurtunities, behavioral and social change among the Apostolic Women
  • Encourage immunization of all Apostolic Children under five particularly from the ultra-conservative groups
Awet will work with Apostolic Health Care Workers together with the MoHCC in scaling up execution of maternal and child health through the Care Group Approach. Awet and Apostolic birth attendants in collaboration with MoHCC will conduct immunisation programmes to nurture positive engagement participation and a mindset shift toward immunisation in the Apostolic sect especially the ultra-groups.

This will reduce morbility and mortality due to improved self-efficacy which enable improved sexual reproductive health and use of MNCH services among Apostolic women
